I think this is a very catchy and appealing album. I don't think it's 'challenging' in the sense it's an ordeal to listen to. To my ears it's not at all. But thanks to artists like Dilloway 'catchy' and 'appealing' don't mean what they used to.

The "sequel" to the amazing Modern Jester is actually a very different album. Whereas that record was buzzing with unfettered ideas, The Gag File is very intentionally a work of repetition, where loops repeat until they ingrain themselves in your skull.
Favorite track: Switch.
